This was the 2nd year of the post RSA snow recovery program (and my 1st year) which turned out to be an amazing weekend both in weather and in the crew that showed up.

Shmoocon 2012 was epic. Not many photos since I try to respect the photography rules, but epic times ensued.

Joined the family on a quick 5 day adventure to Vail and Beaver Creek. Didn’t want to bang up the camera on the icey conditions, so no photos on the actual mountain. Hopefully will get a few in in my upcoming trip to Heavenly.

Wandered over to the Lincoln Park Zoo randomly a few days before Christmas to get into the Christmas Mood. Definitely a great walk as I wandered there all the way from Lake View by foot.

I could spend hours typing and talking up the adventure that was 2011. It started at an all time low, and has redeemed itself dramatically. After much hesitation, I finally decided to go through my phone’s pictures (the ones that never get tweeted) and just batch upload them to flickr instead of talking about the whole year and its rollercoaster of a ride.

So without explanation of any of these images (and a lot of them won’t make sense without context), here they are starting from January to as of Today.

7 years ago, I completed about 7 years worth of German language in Junior High and Highschool. I constantly asked myself “Why didn’t you take spanish, you would have actually had a use for it in the states unlike German?” But alas, over the past week, I finally got the chance to get to Germany for the first time. A U.S. Based client i was working with had over sea operations which were based in, you guessed it, Germany, and required a site visit. Woot! So I took a long weekend to see a bit of the Southern parts of Deutschland.
